Shipping containers for sale in Riga and across Latvia

Since 2018, Conway Container Solutions has supplied shipping containers to companies and private customers in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Scandinavia. Our head office is in Riga, and more than 100 terminal contracts let us supply one container for a single buyer or many for a large project.

On this page you will find all our shipping container types - new, used, reefers and special containers - plus advice on choosing the right container and on what its price depends on.

Which shipping containers are available

  • New (one-trip) containers have made only one voyage, carry a valid CSC plate and are in near-perfect condition. The best choice for shipping, long use and conversion into a home or office. New shipping containers
  • Used shipping containers are inspected containers graded CW (cargo worthy) or WWT (wind & water tight). The best value for storage, building sites and farms. Used shipping containers
  • Reefer containers are insulated containers with a refrigeration unit for cargo that needs a set temperature. Reefer containers
  • Special containers - Open Top, Flat Rack, Open Side and double-door containers for non-standard cargo. Special containers

Shipping container dimensions

Shipping containers are built to ISO standards, so their dimensions are the same all over the world. The most popular sizes are 20 ft and 40 ft. A 10 ft container suits small spaces, while a 45 ft container is for large volumes. Many sizes also come as high cube, which is about 30 cm taller.

How to choose a shipping container

  • What will you use it for? For storage, a used WWT container is enough. To ship cargo you need a CW container with a valid CSC plate. For a home, office or sauna, choose a new high cube container.
  • How much space do you need? A 20 ft container holds about 33 m³ and up to 11 euro pallets; a 40 ft container about 67 m³ and 23-24 euro pallets.
  • Where will it stand? Make sure the delivery truck can reach the spot and that the ground is level and firm. See how to prepare the ground for a container.
  • Buy or rent? If you need a container for a limited time, consider shipping container rental.

How much does a shipping container cost

The price of a shipping container depends on its size, condition (new, CW or WWT), height (standard or high cube), quantity and delivery location. Market prices also move with global demand for containers, so we prepare an individual quote for every customer.

Specific containers already in our yard - with photos, condition, location and, for many, a price - are listed under Containers in stock. To learn how prices are formed, read how much a shipping container costs.

Delivery across Latvia and the Baltics

We deliver containers across Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Scandinavia by road, rail and sea. On site we place the container with a crane truck or a side loader, which sets it down next to the truck - even in hard-to-reach places. See Transport services.

Standards and documents

Our shipping containers meet ISO standards (ISO 830, 668, 6346, 1161, 1496-1). Containers for shipping cargo have a valid CSC plate (at least 12 months) and a registered BIC code, and comply with the TIR convention for road transport and UIC code 592-1 for rail.
