A container home is a fast, affordable way to get a warm, ready-to-use living space - a summer house, a guest cabin, housing for workers or a first home on your own plot. Conway builds living modules from new 20 and 40 ft high cube shipping containers and delivers them ready to live in.

What a container home includes

  • a new 20 or 40 ft high cube shipping container;
  • wall and ceiling insulation with closed-cell PU foam;
  • floor insulation with Kingspan Therma TF70;
  • PVC windows and doors, concealed plumbing;
  • an air conditioner with 3.5 kW heating;
  • a fully equipped bathroom.

We adapt the layout, finish and equipment to your needs. Two or more containers can be joined into a bigger home.

20 or 40 ft container home

Before insulation, a 20 ft container has about 14 m² of floor space and a 40 ft container about 28 m². A 20 ft unit suits a compact cabin, sauna or office, while a 40 ft unit fits a home with a living room, bedroom and bathroom. High cube containers are about 30 cm taller than standard ones, so the ceiling stays at a comfortable height after insulation.

Do you need a permit for a container home?

In Latvia the rules depend on the size of the building, its use and the local building regulations. Before ordering, we recommend asking the building authority (būvvalde) of your municipality which documents are needed for your plot.
